Type C Silica Gel 4-8mm Coarse Pore Spherical Adsorbent

Type C silica gel, also known as coarse-pore silica gel, appears as milky white translucent granules. It is divided into two categories: spherical and lumpy. Its main component is SiO₂·nH₂O, which is insoluble in water and inorganic acids but soluble in strong acids and strong alkalis. Its internal structure features a pore volume of 0.78–1.00 ml/g, a pore diameter of 80–100 Å, and a specific surface area of 300–500 m²/g.

This product is mainly used for drying various industrial gases, adsorbing organic acids and moisture in transformer oil, high-molecular proteins during industrial fermentation, harmful multivalent elements in water, and for drug purification and separation. It also serves as a moisture-proof agent for items, bedding for pet breeding, a catalyst carrier, and serves as a foundational raw material for further processing into fine silica gel series products.
